Acupuncture
Acupuncture offers a natural and holistic approach to medicine that promotes healing and wellness through healthy alternatives to traditional medicine. The ancient practice of acupuncture started in the Orient approximately 3000 years ago. Since then, it has been honed and insertion points have become more specified. It is standard practice in the Orient, alongside massage, diet, and herbs.
Acupuncture is a technique that is very effective in triggering specific physiological responses. It is a natural method that activates the body’s own healing abilities. Three or five treatments may be enough for certain acute cases, such as: muscle aches, stress, and general tension. Chronic conditions may take ten to twenty visits at weekly or bi-weekly intervals to achieve lasting results. Your disorder may have been years in the making and thus your body may not be receptive to immediate results. Once your primary ailment is under control I recommend a monthly maintenance program.
Although still regarded as an alternative therapy, acupuncture is highly praised throughout the medical community for its effectiveness and lack of negative side effects. Acupuncture has been known to successfully treat many acute & chronic illnesses that Western medicine had trouble treating effectively.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. There are many types of massage therapy methods (also called modalities). People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons; for example, to reduce stress and anxiety, to relax muscles, to rehabilitate injuries, to reduce pain and to promote overall health and wellness.

Cupping
What is Fire Cupping?
Fire Cupping, also referred to as Cupping Therapy, is a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that works by helping to remove any blockages stopping the flow of Qi (pronounced ‘chee’) in the body.
Therapists will place warm glass cups onto a specific acupuncture point along an energy meridian. By warming the air within each cup, a vacuum is created that draws the tissue inside when placed onto the skin. This helps increase the blood flow, loosening the connective tissue, and stimulates the body’s natural healing process.
Our practitioner will also use techniques such as sliding the cups along the muscle to stretch, like in the action of a massage, or will use a technique that is called pop cupping, this technique encourages further blood and Qi flow to the muscles. The whole treatment is 30 mins. The cups will then be gently removed by lifting one edge, allowing air to flow back in, breaking the vacuum seal.
